Phoenix City-A porch pirate snatched a package at the door of Phoenix City. There is an Xbox inside.

After a few weeks, the homeowner decided to take action.

Not only does he want to catch crooks, but he also hopes that the website he developed will help catch other porch pirates.

"It's very violated...Everyone gets angry when it happens to them," said Jacob Pritchett from Phoenix, who created this after receiving an expensive gift website.

"I delivered the Xbox Series X to my house, and less than half an hour later, someone showed up in broad daylight with a bare face or something," he said. "I have a sign that says there is a security camera, and there is a security camera at the door. They don't care. They just walked over, picked it up, and then a car came over from the corner and picked him up. Then they just gone."

Pritchett submitted a report to the Phoenix Police Department, but now he goes one step further through theplank.org.

The porch pirate who came to his door is now on the website, as do many others. All this is to generate prompts to capture all of this.

"We named all the porch pirates, so the name is'ScurvyLegs McGee'," Pritchett said. "So, ScurvyLegs McGee, please return my Xbox to me. But I don't think he still owns it, he may not."

If you are a victim, you can submit detailed information about the theft as well as videos and pictures to The Plank.

Pritchett will then publish the post, which can remain anonymous.

"People really seem to want to help," he said.

Pritchett expects that package theft will only become a bigger problem in the future, as the proportion of commercial activities via the Internet and delivery will be higher.

He hopes that his website will help curb the rise in crime.

"We hope it helps solve this problem," he said.

The goal is to raise awareness and expose these criminals so that as many people as possible can see their faces.

Pritchett said: "I hope they feel less safe, and I'm not sure they will get away with it." "I hope we are organized enough as citizens, and people don't want to mess with us and take advantage of us... My message to porch pirates is-- We will find you. You have to walk the plank."

The easiest way to avoid porch piracy is to use this tracking information to retrieve your package after it has arrived.
